Primary focus on ensuring that employees are accurately compensated, taxes withheld correctly, and all payroll related tasks are carried out in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Enter timecards manually.
- Process union and non-union payroll in a timely and accurate manner weekly.
- Review payroll documentation for accuracy through audit reports and make any necessary adjustments.
- Tracking and maintaining accuracy of all garnishments and deductions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee payroll files.
- Update union pay scales as necessary.
- Ensure accuracy of union benefit contributions.
- Prepare various payroll and management reports.
- Certify payroll.
- Process expense reports weekly.
- Support accounts payable as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
3
years of payroll focused experience.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Multitasking while working in a high-pressure environment.
Strong organizational skills and very detail oriented.
Preferred:
Union payroll experience highly preferred.
Construction industry experience highly preferred.
In-house payroll experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
